The Axe

Having just returned from a visit with Frank Frazetta where I had gained new insight into painting, I painted The Axe (15 x 30, oil on academy board) to try out some of the things I had just learned and to see if I might be involved with the Death Dealer project Verotik was planning at the time.  So I wanted to paint a Death Dealer attitude without it being the character per se.  But by the time Verotik had run out of Frazetta covers for the comic, I was no longer interested due to the nature of Verotik projects in general.
