PayPal New User Information

• All users of PayPal must have an email address.

• New users of PayPal are limited to $2000.00 of spending until they verify their account by confirming an email address and a bank account.

• To confirm your email address, PayPal sends you an email which includes a link back to PayPal.  Click on that and enter your PayPal password.

• To confirm your bank account, PayPal will deposit two amounts under $1.00 into your account.  Check your bank statement and tell PayPal what those amounts are.

• After verification, your spending limit is lifted.

• New international users of PayPal are not able to send any money until they confirm an email address and a credit or debit card (this is a several day process).

• Confirmation of an email address is the same as above.

• To confirm your credit or debit card, PayPal does a $1.00 charge to your card associated with a random unique 4-digit confirmation number.  Check you monthly statement in the mail or online for the 4-digit number and tell PayPal what it is.

• PayPal will accept Canadian Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling, and Yen among others.
